DETROIT – A baby is recovering after being involved in a car crash on Detroit’s east side.
The crash occurred on Friday (Jan. 17) at 8:20 p.m. on East 7 Mile Road and Hoover Street.
Officials say the man who was involved in the crash fled the scene on foot while leaving the baby behind.
Police are searching for the man as of 10:30 p.m.
The baby was taken to a Metro Detroit hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
