Several crashes were reported across Wayne and Oakland counties Thursday morning after overnight snow covered the roads.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reported several crashes along I-75, M-39, I-275 and I-94. Some crashes caused some shoulder lanes to close; others caused the freeways to shut down completely.
Here are some of the reported crashes so far:
Southbound I-75
The right center lane, right lane and right shoulder of SB I-75 after Rochester Road shut down at 7:26 a.m. This crash has been cleared.
The left shoulder and right shoulder of SB I-75 after 14 Mile Road closed down at 6:37 a.m. This crash has been cleared.
The left shoulder, left lane, right lane and right shoulder of SB I-75 at Outer Drive shut down at 6:55 a.m. This crash cleared at 7:33 a.m.
All lanes of SB I-75 at Dix Highway closed at 5:26 a.m. MDOT said vehicles can reenter the freeway from Allen Road. This crash has been cleared.
I-275
The left shoulder, left lane and center lane on SB I-275 after M-14 closed down at 7:53 a.m.
The left shoulder on NB I-275 after 8 Mile closed at 7:41 a.m.
M-39
Unknown lanes on SB and NB M-39 to SB I-75 closed down at 6:02 a.m. This crash has been cleared.
The right lane and right shoulder of M-39 at Joy Road closed down at around 7:05 a.m. This crash has been cleared.
I-94
The left shoulder and left lane on WB I-94 at I-75 closed down at 6:53 a.m. This crash has been cleared.
I-96
The right shoulder of WB I-96 at Novi Road shut down at 7:29 a.m. This crash has been cleared.
