PONTIAC, Mich. – A man in Oakland County is facing charges after reportedly embezzling more than a million dollars in laptops.
According to authorities, the scale of the theft was revealed after John VanNorman was laid off from Teijin Automotive in Auburn Hills. The company reportedly discovered he had been ordering and taking laptops, costing the company an estimated $1.3 million.

Police said VanNorman was taken into custody without issue and has been cooperating with the investigation.
VanNorman was charged with embezzlement of over $100,000. He was given a $50,000 bond and his next court date has been scheduled for Feb. 4.
