Detroit police searching for man accused of robbing victim at gas station

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for a man accused of stealing a man’s wallet Tuesday.

Police said a 54-year-old man was pumping gas in the 5000 block of E Davison at around 9 p.m. on Jan. 21, 2025, when another man approached and announced a robbery.

The suspect allegedly took the 54-year-old man’s wallet and drove away from the scene in a red Chevy SUV.

Police said the suspect is described to be a man with a thin build, 5′8″ to 5′10″ and between 25 and 30 years old. He was reportedly seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, black mask, black Detroit Lions hat, black jogging pants and black shoes.
