The automaker wants its employees to work three to five days a week starting March 3, 2025, while maintaining a flexible work environment.
“As we accelerate our transformation, we recognize the value of consistent on-site presence and see it as a key enabler to win in the marketplace. Many of our teams are already working on-site 3-5 days a week as we maintain a flexible work environment. Today’s announcement is confirmation that bringing teams together to build stronger connections is a competitive necessity.”
Employees at the Chrysler Headquarters and Technology Center complex in Auburn Hills who have already been working, including engineering and technology teams and assembly line workers, will continue working at their respective plants.
Local 4 was told that employees received an email Wednesday evening regarding how 2025 was a pivotal year for the North America Communications organization as the company worked toward delivering commitments.
The company said a more consistent on-site presence will be necessary to build stronger connections, unify teams, and achieve its objectives.
The email expressed how essential it was to come together as one team: “As you may recall, we hosted our official grand reopening of CTC in September 2022. We understand that many of you are already working on-site in various capacities. For those of you who are consistently on-site three to five days per week, your on-site presence remains unchanged.”
Stellantis said the purpose of the email was to allow employees to start planning their schedules.
Leaders of the company will work with their respective teams to find the best on-site cadence while maintaining flexibility.
“Additionally, we acknowledge that this change may require adjustments, and many of you will have questions regarding on-site arrangements and amenities.
The company is committed to supporting you through this transition and providing helpful information. To ensure a smooth transition, please begin discussing your schedules with your teams and managers.
We are confident that these changes will help strengthen our culture of collaboration and improve our collective performance. Together, We Win.”
