Suspected drunk driver crashes into Michigan State Police car on I-75 in Saginaw County (Michigan State Police)

SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. – A suspected drunk driver was arrested after crashing into a Michigan State Police patrol car, injuring a trooper and others involved in a separate crash on I-75.

A Michigan State Trooper initially responded to northbound I-75 near M-46 for a minor crash on Jan. 29, 2025, when an unrelated vehicle crashed into the trooper’s patrol car at around 6:45 a.m.

The trooper was not in the patrol car but had to jump out of the path of the crashed vehicles. He received minor injuries.

Those involved in the initial crash were injured in the second crash.

The at-fault driver of the second crash was arrested for suspected drunk driving.

The investigation is ongoing.
