Ohio man found dead on I-75 after being struck by vehicle, police searching for driver responsible

DETROIT – Police are looking for the driver responsible for striking and killing a man on I-75 Sunday night and then driving away from the scene.

Authorities initially received calls about a man walking on the freeway on Feb. 2, 2025, at around 7:45 p.m. Moments later, another caller reported the man began running in the lanes of northbound I-75 near W Grand Boulevard.

While police searched the area, they found a 42-year-old man from Ohio dead on the left lane of I-75.

According to Michigan State Police, the driver accused of hitting the Ohio man and killing him drove away from the scene.
