Women accused of stealing over $250,000 worth of products from Ulta Beauty stores in Michigan, Ohio

Three women were arrested for allegedly stealing over $250,000 worth of products from multiple Ulta Beauty stores in Michigan and Ohio.

The investigation began when officers responded to an Ulta Beauty store in Shelby Township on Jan. 10, 2025, where the manager accused three women of stealing $6,000 worth of inventory.

Investigators checked FLOCK cameras to search for a possible vehicle involved in the theft and learned that the same vehicle was seen at other Ulta Beauty stores. A recent FLOCK hit showed the vehicle near Toledo, Ohio.

Shelby Township authorities reached out to law enforcement in Ohio to help locate and detain the suspects. The officers in Ohio found the three women and found stolen merchandise inside the vehicle.

Nayely De Los Santos-Arana from New Jersey, Brenda Ampudia-Tocto from New York and Evelyn Romero-Berrospi from New Jersey allegedly stole merchandise from Ulta Beauty stores in Shelby Township, Troy, Lapeer and Toledo, Ohio. Investigators are still working to see if other Ulta Beauty stores may have been a victim.

Ulta Beauty reported to police that the three women arrested allegedly stole over $250,000 worth of stolen merchandise.

On Jan. 30, 2025, De Los Santos-Arana, Ampudia-Tocto and Romero-Berrospi were arraigned on charges of retail fraud and organized retail crime. They were all given a $25,000 bond and were lodged at the Macomb County Jail.

Let this be a reminder to criminals, if you think about committing a crime in our community, you will face the consequences!” wrote Shelby Township Police Chief Robert J. Shelide in a statement.
