Police said Stanley Jr. was driving southbound on Rochester Road when his 2002 GMC Sierra crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2024 Dodge Ram driven by a 44-year-old Oakland Township man.

Police reported that the 44-year-old man wore his seatbelt and was not injured in the crash.

Stanley Jr. was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

While it is unclear if he wore his seatbelt during the crash, officials noted that the roadway was extremely icy, which may have contributed to the collision.
