Man armed with knife sought in robbery at Detroit business, police say

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a local business last week.

The robbery happened at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, in the 19300 block of Wyoming.

Police say the suspect entered the business and started talking to the victim, a 55-year-old employee.

He allegedly pulled out a knife and demanded the woman’s property.

The suspect took the victim’s ring, money and purse during the struggle, before leaving the area on foot, according to police.

The woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Police say the suspect is described as a man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and was wearing a brown leather jacket with white fur on the wrists, hood and collar, along with dark pants and black boots.
