Port Huron police, U.S. Marshals arrest 2 involved in January homicide case

One suspect was arrested outside Atlanta, Georgia

The Port Huron Police Department has arrested two people in relation to the Jan. 28, 2025, homicide investigation.

PORT HURON, Mich. – The Port Huron Police Department has arrested two people in relation to the Jan. 28, 2025, homicide investigation.

On Feb. 12, 2025, the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a 22-year-old man who was a suspect based on intelligence provided by the Port Huron Major Crimes Unit.

Officials said the man was arrested just outside Atlanta, Georgia, and is awaiting extradition to Michigan.

He also has an outstanding felony warrant for a double homicide in Detroit from December 2023.

Additionally, the Port Huron Major Crimes Unit arrested a 36-year-old woman who had been previously released during the initial stages of the investigation.

Officials said newly obtained evidence had further linked her to the crime, and she too was in custody at the St. Clair County Jail.
