Lindsay was charged with five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with a 2023 relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Prosecutors said the student was in love with Lindsay, and that he proposed marriage to her.

Lindsay was initially sentenced in January 2025 to 8-50 years for first-degree criminal sexual conduct and 8-15 years for second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Authorities said Lindsay filed a motion disputing the sentencing and requested to be resentenced. His new sentence is 6 to 50 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections.

Upon release, Lindsay must have lifetime electronic monitoring and not contact with the victim.
