DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is searching for the suspects involved in a non-fatal shooting on the city’s west side.

The shooting occurred on Friday (Feb. 7), where three suspects were inside a gas station in the 21700 block of W. McNichols Road.

Officials said the victim became engaged in a verbal altercation with the three suspects.

The altercation escalated, and the victim got into a physical altercation with one of the suspects.

Police said during the physical altercation, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim one time.

Officials said the second suspect entered the driver seat of a red Jeep SUV, followed by the two other suspects, and fled the location at a high rate of speed.
