MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A 31-year-old man from Clinton Township will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of murdering his wife.
Steven Bryce Wheeler was found guilty by a jury in January of first-degree murder and felony firearm.

According to authorities, Wheeler shot his wife in the head five times with a handgun in their Clinton Township home in October 2023.
Police said he got into an argument with her and she called 911 after he assaulted her.
She was shot multiple times while she was on the phone.
Neighbors reported seeing the couple’s young children run from the house after hearing gunshots.
Wheeler was sentenced Wednesday, Feb. 26 to life in prison without parole for first-degree murder and two years for felony firearm.
