The 4 spots where you’re most likely to crash on I-75 in Michigan
I-75 is one of Michigan’s major highways, and we’ve identified the spots where crashes are most likely to happen.
The highway leaves Toledo, Ohio, enters Erie, Michigan, and winds over 394 miles through the state before exiting into Canada through Sault Ste. Marie. More than 170,000 vehicles use it per day.
When a crash happens, it can cause lane closures, shutdowns, and in some serious situations -- injuries and deaths. The Local 4 Investigative team broke down data from the Michigan Traffic Crash Facts’ Data Query Tool to determine where along I-75 drivers are most likely to crash.

Meet Gideon: Puppy’s abuse story captures hearts while inspiring justice across Metro Detroit
A Jack Russel puppy named Gideon’s story isn’t over — it’s just beginning.
From unimaginable suffering to his recovery, Gideon is capturing the hearts of many.
Now, the search for justice is on for Gideon after he survived what animal advocates believe was a horrific case of animal cruelty.
Gideon, still just a puppy, was taken in by the Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) on Jan. 12 after reports surfaced that he had been intentionally burned in a bathtub.
“I’ve never been—13 years of rescue, in 20 years of anesthesia—seen any living being in so much pain,” said Kelly LaBonty, Director of DAWG.
