DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Police Department is seeking assistance from the public as they continue to investigate a road rage shooting that killed a 19-year-old.
The shooting happened at 9:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Tireman Avenue and West Morrow Circle.
A 19-year-old Dearborn Heights girl was shot and killed when a road rage dispute with another driver ensued, according to investigators.
The Detroit Police Department is also involved with the investigation and said a suspect had barricaded himself inside a home near Plymouth Road and Whitcomb after the shooting.
Police say three people were detained after the shooting.
Two of them are still in custody on unrelated charges, but one person was released pending further investigation.
“We continue to devote manpower and investigative resources and work with partner agencies to gather evidence in this ongoing investigation,” said Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin. “Seeking justice and accountability for the victim in this heinous act remains our priority. Dearborn police will submit their findings to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
