2 water utility workers rescued after trench collapse in Wyandotte

Both workers in stable condition

WYANDOTTE, Mich. – Two water utility workers were rescued after a trench collapsed in Wyandotte.

The collapse, which occurred Tuesday (Feb. 25) on 17th and Walnut streets, has raised concerns as authorities work to determine the workers’ affiliations, whether with the city’s water department or an outside company.

After our 11 p.m. newscast, officials said both workers were rescued and are listed in stable condition.
