The trial for a woman accused of drunk driving and crashing her car through a birthday party, killing two children, in Monroe County continues Thursday.

The trial was scheduled to resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. However, it has been delayed about 30 minutes.

Water transmission main that burst, flooded SW Detroit neighborhood has been repaired, says GLWA

The water transmission main that burst in mid-February and flooded a Southwest Detroit neighborhood has been repaired.

According to the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), on Wednesday, its crews and contractors completed the repair of the 54-inch water transmission main.

Cause of death determined for children who died in parking garage of Detroit casino

The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of death for the two children who died in the parking garage of a Detroit casino.

The 2-year-old and the 9-year-old died from carbon monoxide toxicity.

Detroit police issue warning on thieves stealing infotainment systems from Dodge Ram trucks

A crew of thieves is actively targeting newer Dodge Ram pickup trucks on Detroit’s east side.

Police said on Tuesday, March 4, that the people were stealing infotainment systems and other valuables from inside the trucks.

Weather: Wind advisory in effect for all of SE Michigan, when to expect rain and snow mix

Wind advisory until 3 p.m. for all of Southeast Michigan due to northwest winds gusting around 45 mph, particularly in the 5-10 a.m. timeframe.

Some slick or icy spots are possible for this morning`s commute with temperatures now in the mid to upper 20s, so any wet spots could have froze over through the overnight.

Light snow showers clear out of the region by mid-morning. Conditions improve quickly this afternoon as the low pressure system exits the Great Lakes, but we remain breezy. High temperatures will struggle to reach 40.
