FERNDALE, Mich. – Police in Ferndale are investigating a murder after a man’s body was found on Woodward Avenue.
It happened at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday, March 9. According to authorities, police received a 911 call reporting shots fired near the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Woodward Avenue. Shortly after, a second 911 call alerted police to a man found collapsed outside a Ford Escape on the Woodward Avenue bridge over Eight Mile Road.

Police said they found a 27-year-old man from Detroit who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities believe he was shot multiple times while driving south on Woodward Avenue.
