The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has linked a vehicle fire to a fatal shooting involving a man from Flint.
Police said that on Saturday (March 8), around 8 a.m., deputies had responded to the 7000 block of Sherwood Road in Conway Township because of a vehicle fire.

Police said the car was a 2000 Toyota Camry with no one inside.
The Sheriff’s Office said the Camry was a total loss and believes that the fire was intentionally set.
Officials said two hours later, around 10 a.m., deputies responded to a death investigation in the 8000 block of Robb Road.
Police said that was where they found the 25-year-old man from Flint, who was also the owner of the Camry; they said that he was shot.
The Sheriff’s office says that due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing investigation, further information will be released later, and there is no threat to the public.
