MONROE COUNTY, Mich. – An Ohio man was arrested early Saturday morning following a slow-speed pursuit in Monroe County.
A Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy tried to stop a car in the area of Lewis Avenue and Morocco Road on March 15, 2025, just after 3 a.m., after seeing it speeding while also crossing the center line of the road multiple times.

While trying to pull the car over, the sheriff’s office said the car slowed down but didn’t pull over.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said a slow-speed pursuit of the car continued north on Lewis Avenue until the driver eventually stopped near Ida Center Road.
The driver, a 49-year-old man from Holland, Ohio, was arrested. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail for allegedly fleeing and eluding police and driving while intoxicated. The sheriff’s office said he also faces several other traffic-related crimes.
