Oakland County youth hockey doctor pleads no contest in teen sexual abuse case

PONTIAC, Mich. – A 68-year-old Oakland County doctor has pleaded no contest to more than two dozen sexual misconduct charges.

Zvi Levran spent more than two decades providing medical assistance to youth hockey teams in Michigan and Minnesota. According to authorities, he sexually abused multiple teen boys, many he met while providing medical assistance to youth hockey teams.

He was arrested in 2022.

Levran pleaded no contest Tuesday, March 18, to 11 counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, 10 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, four counts of child sexually abusive activity.

He is expected to be sentenced April 29. Prosecutors said they will ask the court for the maximum sentence.
