MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The suspect wanted in connection to a shooting at Corewell Health Hospital in Troy has been taken into custody.
Police say the suspect was arrested at around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, at a home on Breezeway Drive in Macomb Township.
Residents who live in the area were asked to stay inside to avoid interfering with police.
Macomb County Commander Jason Abro said there were a few people living in the home the suspect was in, and police are speaking to them.
During a press conference at 1 p.m., Troy police said the victim and the suspect were friends at one point and “recently had a falling out.”
An arraignment is expected to be held within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Once that happens, police will release more information about the suspect.

What to know about the shooting
At 7:08 a.m. on Thursday police received a call from security at Corewell Heath Hospital in Troy that a shooting happened in a parking garage.
Security told police that a gun was fired at the victim five times. He was shot twice in the arm and his car was also struck.
The shooting happened between two employees. The victim, a 25-year-old Troy man, is expected to be OK.
“The victim was able to identify the suspect, so that’s how we were able to narrow that down,” said Troy Police Lt. Ben Hancock.
