Officials said after a swift investigation, they arrested and charged three individuals with homicide that same month.

Those individuals are currently awaiting trial at the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center.

Earlier this month, Dearborn Police investigators said they developed new information, leading to identifying a fourth suspect, Dawanne Midgett, 35, of Detroit.

On March 20, 2025, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office filed several charges against Midgett, including:

  • Felony murder
  • Felony firearm (four charges)
  • Armed robbery
  • Conspiracy to commit armed robbery
  • Felon in possession
  • Habitual 4th

Midgett was arraigned on March 21, 2025, at the 19th District Court and remanded to Wayne County Jail without bond.

A probable cause conference is scheduled for April 2, 2025.

A jury trial for the other defendants—Devon Travon Green, Lindsay Thurmond, and Quenton Goston—initially scheduled for this month has been adjourned pending Midgett’s court proceedings.
