“Today, former Detroit Police Officer James Davis III resigned from the Detroit Police Department. Mr. Davis III was arraigned in the 36th District Court this afternoon on charges of larceny in a building and one count of receiving and concealing stolen property.

Mr. Davis III’s alleged conduct is unacceptable and does not reflect the integrity of the men and women who serve this community.

The Detroit Police Department remains committed to accountability and will take swift and appropriate action when officers fail to uphold the department’s standards.”
