The backup began Wednesday afternoon, where people waited more than two hours to cross the U.S. border to Canada.

A wait time is estimated between 90 minutes and two hours for cars and trucks heading eastbound into Canada.

The cause of the backup remains unclear, but it is impacting all vehicles, including commercial ones.

In contrast, the wait time for those heading westbound out of Canada and into the United States is only 15 minutes.
