Man charged in shooting that killed 2 on Detroit’s west side

If convicted, Cornelious Love Grubb faces a potential life sentence

DETROIT – A man has been charged in connection with a shooting that killed two people on Detroit’s west side.

Cornelious Love Grubb was charged Friday, March 28, with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of assault with intent to murder, possessing a firearm as a prohibited person and felony firearm.

According to authorities, the shooting happened March 19, just before 2:30 a.m., at a home on Forrer Street, just south of Midland Street. Police said one man was found dead at the scene and another was taken to a hospital, where he died.
