MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich. – A Michigan man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child for years.
The investigation into the alleged sexual assaults began in October 2023 when Michigan State Police interviewed a child at Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center in Grand Traverse County.

After further investigation, a trooper found that the alleged sexual assault happened in Manistee and Wexford counties over several years.
Timothy Hunt, a 27-year-old from Mancelona, was arrested on March 24, 2025. He was arraigned on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was given a $100,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 2, 2025.
