Officials said most of the ice cleared overnight before they reopened.

The bridge reopened Thursday, April 3, after being closed for 30 straight hours, breaking the record for the longest closure by 10 hours.

Since Monday, the Mighty Mac has collectively been closed for more than 42 hours.

As of Thursday at 11:45 a.m., certain vehicles will require an escort across the bridge due to high winds. Other drivers are asked to drive 20 mph.
