The man accused of shooting and injuring his coworker at a Troy Corewell hospital parking garage appeared in court on Thursday.
The shooting happened just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in the parking garage of Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. The shooting was called in as an active shooter situation and a warning was sent to staff telling them to “run, hide, fight.” The hospital went into a lockdown.
Robert Paljusevic, 21, allegedly fired five shots at his coworker, striking him twice in the arm.
The victim, identified as a 25-year-old Troy man, was treated for his injuries at the hospital. He is expected to be OK.
Paljusevic was arrested at a home in Macomb County shortly after the shooting occurred.
Police said Paljusevic and the victim were “best friends” who worked in the radiology department together but then had a recent falling out.
Paljusevic appeared in court for a probable cause hearing on April 3 at around 10 a.m. His defense lawyer requested that the hearing be rescheduled because they need to review the large number of discovery files handed to them by the prosecution.
Prosecutors said they filed over 100 pages of discovery, including photos of the crime scene and police statements.
The judge accepted the defense’s request and rescheduled the probable cause conference for May 1, 2025. His preliminary examination date has also been rescheduled, but a date has not yet been set.
