DETROIT – A person operating a drone was arrested after flying it into Comerica Park during the Detroit TigersOpening Day game.

The incident occurred Friday, April 4, at 1:43 p.m. during gameplay.

The Detroit Police Department said the incident originated from the top floor of the parking structure at Brush Street and East Adams Avenue.

Officials reported that the drone operator was identified quickly and arrested near the scene.

The FBI, along with the Michigan State Police and DPD, is actively investigating.
