HARPER WOODS, Mich. – A man is facing new charges after he allegedly peeped through someone’s bedroom window in Harper Woods while out on bond for a similar case in a neighboring community, police said.

Marquis Dwayne Fleming, 43, of Detroit, was arraigned in 32-A District Court on the charges of surveilling an unclothed person and disorderly person- window peeper.

The incident happened at about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, at a home in the 20600 block of Elkhart in Harper Woods.

The resident told police that her surveillance system captured a suspect in her backyard looking into her bedroom window.

Officers responded and allegedly found the suspect, Fleming, standing on the resident’s air conditioning unit and looking into an occupied bedroom.

Fleming was arrested without incident. He was issued a $25,000 bond, with no 10%. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

When Fleming was arrested for the crime, he was out on bond and wearing a tether for a similar peeping case in a neighboring community, according to police.
