Once Detroit police found a man wearing the same clothes as the suspect seen in surveillance, the man ran away. Officers then lost sight of him.

Detroit police, along with Grosse Pointe police K9 officers, tracked the last known area of the suspect, leading them to find a gun the suspect had at the Vogue Market during the attempting robbery.

After further searching, they found and arrested the suspect, identified as Clark Hall.

On April 2, an agent from Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) the reviewed the footage from Vogue Market, which showed a man matching the description of Hall at the store armed with what police believe appeared to be the same gun recovered by police.

Interviewing suspect

On April 2, Detroit police interviewed Hall, where he reportedly acknowledged that the gun was his and he got it from “a light skin individual” in the area. He also told police he’s a convicted felon.

On April 3, a special agent with ATF concluded the gun was manufactured outside of Michigan.

Federal charge

Because the gun was believed to have been made outside of state, Hall is facing a federal charge for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Previous conviction

Hall pleaded guilty to a felony larceny from a person charge on July 9, 2020. He was sentenced to three years of probation.
