Detroit Jazz Festival returns Labor Day weekend with star-studded 2025 lineup

Lineup was announced during a livestreamed preview at Wayne State University

DETROIT – The Detroit Jazz Festival, the world’s largest free jazz festival, announced its star-studded 2025 lineup during a live-streamed preview event at the Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center at Wayne State University.

The stream featured live performances from the 2025 Artist-In-Residence Jason Moran and the Detroit Jazz Festival All-Stars Generation Quintet.

The Detroit Jazz Festival will be held in downtown Detroit from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1, coinciding with Labor Day weekend.
