Details of the assaults
Victim #1 – Grand River and West Warren
On June 9, 1997, a then 30-year-old woman was waiting at a bus stop near Grand River Avenue and West Warren Avenue when Dudley allegedly pulled up next to her, exited his vehicle, and produced a knife.
He forced her into his car, drove to a secluded area, and sexually assaulted her. After the assault, she was left with minimal clothing as Dudley fled.
The victim was taken to a Metro Detroit hospital, where a sexual assault kit (SAK) was completed. However, the kit went untested for several years.
Dudley has been charged with criminal sexual conduct first-degree (Use of a Weapon) and criminal sexual conduct third-degree (Force and Coercion).
Victim #2 – Livernois and Fenkell
On Sept. 22, 1997, at approximately 1 a.m., a 16-year-old girl was standing at a bus stop on Livernois and Fenkell Avenue when Dudley allegedly approached her in a sedan and offered her a ride.
Believing she recognized him from a motorcycle club, she accepted. Once in the car, Dudley allegedly demanded sex.
When she refused and attempted to leave, he threatened her with an ice pick and sexually assaulted her. Afterward, he dropped her off nearby.
A sexual assault examination was conducted, and her SAK was taken to the Detroit Police Department but was not sent for testing at that time.
Dudley faces the same charges as in the first case: Criminal sexual conduct first-degree (Use of a Weapon) and criminal sexual conduct third-degree (Force and Coercion).
Victim #3 – Fenkell and Wyoming
On Aug. 9, 2004, an 18-year-old woman was walking near Fenkell Avenue and Wyoming Avenue when Dudley allegedly pulled up next to her with what she initially thought was a gun. Once inside his car, she realized it was a knife held against her.
Dudley is accused of driving her to an unknown location and sexually assaulting her before releasing her on 7 Mile Road.
She later reported the incident to the police, and a sexual assault kit was collected, but it also went untested at that time.
Dudley has been charged with criminal sexual conduct first-degree (Use of a Weapon) and criminal sexual conduct third-degree (Force and Coercion) in this case as well.
