SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A Detroit man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened outside a gas station in Southfield, officials announced.

Gregory Anthony Clark, 66, of Detroit, was charged with manslaughter, according to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

The stabbing happened outside of a gas station at 8 Mile and Lahser on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Clark is accused of stabbing the victim in the chest. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the victim’s family identified Clark as the suspect from video evidence and said that the two men were friends.

“Arguments happen,” said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. “But the addition of a deadly weapon can turn an argument into a tragedy.”

Clark turned himself in to police on Wednesday, April 16, four days after the stabbing, the prosecutor’s office said.
