The 2005 film, Pride and Prejudice, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. It is based on the 1813 novel of the same name by Jane Austen. The movie was directed by Joe Wright and stars Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFayden.
The film was released in theaters in the United Kingdom and Ireland on September 16, 2025. In its first week, it achieved the number one spot, earning the equivalent of $4.6 million in one week.

On November 11, 2005, the film debuted in the United States. Opening weekend earned $2.9 million. By the end of its run in U.S. theaters, the total US gross was more than $38 million.
The film was later released in 59 countries, making the worldwide gross more than $121 million.
The 20th-anniversary re-release will be in theaters for just one week, from now until Thursday, April 24. The film is being shown in many theaters, including AMC, MJR, and Emagine. Show times and theater locations can be found on their websites.
