Detroit police seeking information on shooting that left 13-year-old injured

Shooting happened on 7 Mile Wednesday

Detectives are looking for two persons of interest who may have been near the shooting in the 17100 block of W 7 Mile Road on April 23, 2025 (Detroit Police Department)

DETROIT – Police are searching for information on a shooting that left a 13-year-old boy injured on Wednesday in Detroit.

The 13-year-old was struck by gunfire just before 4 p.m. on April 23 in the 17100 block of W 7 Mile Road. He was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

Detectives are looking for two persons of interest who may have been near the shooting. Police provided the following details:

  • Person of interest 1: A woman with locs, wearing a white tank top and black Adidas track pants
  • Person of interest 2: A woman wearing a black Adidas jogging outfit.
