You could see a smiley face from space tomorrow -- here’s when and why

Venus, Saturn, crescent moon will create smile before sunrise Friday

DETROIT – The sky is going to be smiling back at you early Friday morning.

We have a conjunction of planets with a crescent moon on April 25, 2025. Venus and Saturn will be visible, which will look like the eyes in the sky, with the crescent moon as the smile.

This will happen before sunrise Friday, and sunrise is just after 6:30 a.m.

Look toward the eastern sky, and as long as we have some clearing, there will be a face smiling back at you from space.

So set your alarm clocks a little early to check it out!
