Missing Detroit art student’s remains recovered in Cancun after a 3-day search

The remains of a College for Creative Studies student have been recovered in Cancun, Mexico.

Alejandro Gonzalez, 20, was swept away in the current after helping rescue a friend who had been caught in a wave off the Caribbean Sea. His body was recovered Wednesday following a three-day search.

Gonzalez, a student at Detroit’s prestigious College for Creative Studies, was remembered by colleagues and friends as a passionate artist who actively worked to promote other artists in the community.

‘There was no safety’: Detroit mother accused of encouraging daughter to fight at elementary school

A Detroit mother is accused of showing up at an elementary school to encourage her daughter to fight another 11-year-old student.

The incident happened at Louis Pasteur Elementary School during dismissal time.

The mom of the victim is still in disbelief that another parent would act this way, when they’re supposed to be setting an example.

Married couple charged in human trafficking, prostitution ring tied to Metro Detroit massage parlors

Paul Katterman and his wife, Zixuan Wan, face serious charges regarding their ownership of massage parlors in Commerce Township, Farmington Hills, and Westland.

Prosecutors allege that the couple forced women to work in their businesses, offering sex acts for little to no pay.

Local 4 visited Farmington Hills on Thursday (April 24), where the massage parlor remained shut down following last month’s bust.
