Sure, some people might tell you to be extra careful on Friday the 13th, but according to the Michigan Lottery it might be worth taking some risks.
The Mega Millions game has been particularly lucky for players in Michigan on Friday the 13th. Four players have won the game’s jackpot on that day.
“Michigan Lottery players have cashed in on what many consider to be the unluckiest of days -- Friday the 13th -- winning four Mega Millions jackpots totaling more than $170 million,” said Michigan Lottery Commissioner, Suzanna Shkreli.
Michigan’s four Friday the 13th jackpot winnings happened in June 2008, May 2011, June 2014, and October 2017. The 2017 jackpot was shared with a winner in Rhode Island. Other jackpots on Friday the 13th have been won in New York in March 2009 and Ohio in November 2015.
