Feel the Bern: Lions 1 win away from Super Bowl -- am I dreaming?

Pinch me. Now pinch me again!

Oh, what the heck, pinch me a third time!

Most Detroiters are trying to figure out if they’re in Dream Land or reality. We’re talking about the Lions. Okay, pinch me a 4th time. I’m not kinky... I’m just trying to figure out if reality exists when it comes to the Lions these days. It does!

The last time the Lions were in the NFC Championship Game was January 12th, 1992. They got smoked by the Redskins at RFK Stadium in Washington DC. So, this Sunday night will be the 2nd time they’ve appeared in the game that can send them to the Super Bowl.

Those words alone have not been heard in 32 years. But it’s reality.

Now the question is, can Detroit close the deal and make their first appearance in the Super Bowl? The Niners’ big weapon on offense is wide receiver Deebo Samuel. He hurt his shoulder against the Packers on Saturday night.

The word is he’s 50-50 to play. Stay tuned because that just might be the biggest reason the Lions could be in Las Vegas in just over 2 weeks. And that’s definitely reality.
