Somehow, someway, the Pistons no longer have the worst record in NBA

DETROIT – The Pistons don’t have the worst record in the NBA anymore. Let that sink in.

It’s honestly impressive that another NBA team could be worse than the Pistons, a team that lost 28-straight games, and 53 of their 65 games this season, but there is one team that has accomplished the feat -- the Washington Wizards.

Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole have led their squad to 11 wins this season, one less than the 12-win Pistons.

Don’t get me wrong -- both teams are still dumpster fires. I think the Pistons are better positioned for future success, with a developing crop of young talent, but both are not close to being winners.

If you told me the Pistons would not end the season with the worst record when they lost that 28th game in a row, I would have called you crazy. But you just never know in sports.

The Pistons, for what it’s worth, have actually been playing a lot better. They’ve won four of their last ten, which is really good for a team with only 12 wins. They’ve won two straight games for the second time this year, and the young guys like Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren are on fire.

I don’t have much else to say about this topic, I just wanted to mark the occasion none of us saw coming.

Watch out 14-win Spurs, you could be next!
