What time does the NFL draft open each day in Downtown Detroit?

Theater opens at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday

DETROIT – The NFL draft is set to take over Downtown Detroit this weekend. Here’s how each day looks in terms of timing.

The actual selections begin at 8 p.m. Thursday (April 25) for the first round, 7 p.m. Friday for the second and third rounds, and noon Saturday for the fourth through seventh rounds.

But the draft theater is actually open for much longer. This area is for ticket holders only. Some fans might get invited inside for standing room only, depending on availability.

On Thursday and Friday, the theater opens at 5 p.m. and closes around 11 p.m., depending on how long it takes to go through all the selections.

The theater opens at noon Saturday and is expected to be open until around 7 p.m.

For fans who aren’t going into the theater, Hart Plaza will host several games, exhibits, player appearances, and other events.

Corner Ballpark will host activities for children.
