DETROIT – The Detroit Pistons have made a significant move, bringing on board the seasoned and successful former Dallas Mavericks Executive Dennis Lindsey as their senior vice president of basketball operations.
Lindsey’s hiring was first reported by the reputable ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday (June 25) at 7:11 p.m. ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Reportedly, Lindsey put together the Utah Jazz era when NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell and current Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert roamed the Western Conference.
Lindsey spent the 2023-2024 season as an advisor under Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison, leading the franchise to the NBA Finals, where they fell 4-1 to the Boston Celtics.
Lindsey and Trajan Langdon, the newly appointed president of basketball operations, are not just colleagues, but they have a proven track record of success from their years with the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets before building the dependable playoff-bound Jazz.
