The Pistons have reportedly acquired former Michigan basketball star Tim Hardaway Jr., along with three draft picks in a trade with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Pistons are in a position to take on contracts for draft capital. The trade was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Detroit will send guard Quentin Grimes to Dallas in the deal. The Pistons get a 2025 second via Toronto and two 2028 seconds in the deal.
Hardaway Jr. is owed $16 million next season before becoming an unrestricted free agent.
Hardaway Jr. averaged 14 points per game last season with the Mavericks, but fell out of the rotation later in the season and into the playoffs.
Hardaway Jr. will add a much-needed shooting threat for the Pistons.
