George Blaha, the “Voice of the Pistons” and Michigan and the NBA’s longest-tenured local play-by-play announcer, returns for his 49th season with the broadcast team to handle play-by-play duties.

A 2008 inductee into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, Blaha will be joined by former Piston and Michigan State Spartans legend Greg Kelser, who begins his 28th season as television analyst for Detroit.

“Pistons Live” will be anchored by Mickey York, with former Pistons big man Grant Long, 2004 NBA Champion Lindsey Hunter, former head coach Dwane Casey, and Tim McCormick, who will serve as studio analysts.

Johnny Kane and Natalie Kerwin return as reporters and hosts. Radio broadcasts for Pistons games will be held on 97.1 The Ticket or WWJ 950 AM, with select games on WDZH 98.7 FM.

The longtime tandem of Mark Champion (play-by-play) and “Bad Boy” Rick Mahorn (analyst) will handle broadcast duties. Champion enters his 31st season as the radio voice of the Pistons, while Rick Mahorn enters his 23rd season in the radio booth.
