Quarterback Jared Goff threw five interceptions while the team as a whole gave up 61 penalty yards, which led to them trailing the Texans 23-7 before mounting a second-half comeback for the ages.
Although the Lions won the battle, they lost the war. This week’s inactive players have been announced, and the team will be without five players, as four have already been ruled out, including star tight end Sam LaPorta, who suffered a left shoulder injury.
Here’s the full injury report from Friday’s practice:
- Tight end Sam LaPorta -- out (shoulder).
- Defensive tackle Brodric Martin -- out (knee).
- Safety Ifeatu Melifonwu -- out (ankle/finger).
- Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley -- out (pectoral).
- Linebacker Ben Niemann -- questionable (ankle).
Kickoff is at 1:05 p.m.
