Detroit Lions list 5 players on final injury report ahead of Jaguars matchup

Sam LaPorta, Brodric Martin, Ifeatu Melifonwu, Emmanuel Moseley ruled out

DETROIT – The Detroit Lions listed five players on the final injury report before their week-11 matchup against the 2-8 Jacksonville Jaguars inside Ford Field.

Detroit and all of One Pride are riding the Honolulu blue wave after a comeback road victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football.

Quarterback Jared Goff threw five interceptions while the team as a whole gave up 61 penalty yards, which led to them trailing the Texans 23-7 before mounting a second-half comeback for the ages.

Although the Lions won the battle, they lost the war. This week’s inactive players have been announced, and the team will be without five players, as four have already been ruled out, including star tight end Sam LaPorta, who suffered a left shoulder injury.

Here’s the full injury report from Friday’s practice:

  • Tight end Sam LaPorta -- out (shoulder).
  • Defensive tackle Brodric Martin -- out (knee).
  • Safety Ifeatu Melifonwu -- out (ankle/finger).
  • Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley -- out (pectoral).
  • Linebacker Ben Niemann -- questionable (ankle).

Kickoff is at 1:05 p.m.
