Detroit middleweight prospect Da’Velle Smith looks to remain unbeaten on Dec.12 when he takes on William Townsel in an eight-round super middleweight bout at the Dort Financial Center.
Smith, who is 10-0 with eight wins coming by knockout is regarded as Detroit’s finest middleweight prospect since Tommy “Hitman” Hearns. Smith is called “Hitman 2.0″ due to similarities in size, fighting style and training out of the legendary Kronk gym.

Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall, Smith uses his height to set up his devastating right-hand. He has the rare combination of size, speed and power that is reminiscent of Hearns' style.
“It’s a great honor people comparing me to Tommy Hearns,” said Smith. “I don’t think our styles are the exact same but same frame, beautiful right-hand behind it.”
Smith’s last fight in Flint was in September where he delivered an emphatic fourth-round TKO against Esau Herrera de la Cruz.
Smith will open the televised card on DAZN which will feature Flint’s undefeated super welterweight Ardreal Holmes Jr. and Linden’s once beaten middleweight Joey Spencer as main and co-main events.
Both Holmes (16-0, 6 KOs) and Spencer (18-1, 11 KOs) will face undefeated prospects in 10-round fights. In the main event, USBA 154-pound champion Holmes continues his pursuit of a world title when he takes on the rugged, unbeaten Haitian Edwine Humaine Jr., from Springfield, MA.
Spencer will be put to the test against Miguel Angel Hernandez from Dallas, TX. Humaine and Hernandez boast matching 9-0 records with seven KOs.
This will be the sixth Big Time Boxing USA card since the series launched and is inarguably its strongest lineup from top to bottom. All the action takes place at Dort Financial Center in Flint, with the top four bouts airing live on DAZN.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased online or in-person at the Dort Financial Center Box Office.
“This series is designed to build champions through competitive matchups, and this fight card exemplifies that mission,” said Dmitriy Salita, President of Salita Promotions. “With a combined record of 70 wins and just 2 losses among three of the televised bouts, the numbers speak for themselves. This fight card is packed with thrilling, evenly matched contests.”
