It’s going to get very, very loud at Ford Field on Saturday night for the Lions-Commanders playoff game in Detroit.

The Lions are hoping it’s record-breaking noise.

The decibel record at Ford Field was set at 134.3 decibels during the divisional round playoff game vs. the Buccaneers last season. The team is encouraging fans to try and break it during Saturday’s game vs. Washington.

For comparison, a jet plane taking off is measured between 120 and 140 decibels, and fireworks and gunshots are measured around 140-150 decibels.

Normal conversations are usually around 60 decibels.

Ford Field has become one of the best home field atmospheres in the NFL, thanks to roaring fans. But the noise hit a new level when the Lions hosted two playoff games last season.

Earlier this year, players ranked Detroit as the 10th toughest place to play.
